Update and Football Season

OK so I have not been keeping up with our blog very well. Been really tired and busy with my new church calling. Baby first:
We go Sept 15Th to find out what our little dawg is. I am pulling for a dawgette and Geoff is pulling for a dawg! Either way I just want a healthy baby dawg to grace us with their presence! I am so excited but tired. Been working and trying to get things organized in the house so we can add room for our little one.
Church calling: I have been called as our ward Primary Sec. I have been so blessed to be able to work with some really awesome women. My really amazing awesome friend Tiff is the pres, another friend is the 1st coun. and then another friend is the 2nd coun! How freakin awesome is that. We have the best time at our meeting while still being able to get things organized and ready for each week. I am so blessed to be able to work with them in this calling.
Football season: So Geoff and i are totally stoked for our football season. Geoff is worried we will not do to well this year but a true fan will always stay loyal I tell him. We have way to much Georgia stuff in our house to get to bummed, plus you cant have a great season every year! Our boys are learning to work together and improving each practice. I cant wait till Saturday. I am wanting to get the house cleaned so we can just eat and watch the game! Go DAWGS!!
Also hunting season is upon us and Geoff and I took our hunter safety class last year so we can get our license and hunt with dad and Blake this year. I hope to shoot my first deer while i am pregers! Ha what a site to see a pregnant woman in camo. I am laughing just thinking about it. Any who we have been busy working and trying to save money for when the baby gets here and the bills start pouring in. Plus we will be needing Georgia stuff to decorate the nursery with after we find out the 15th if we will be doing footballs and baseballs or cheerleaders and girly stuff in the nursery. I am totally excited and cant wait till it is over. I know I shouldn't say that but I just don't get a kick out of being pregers! But I am making the best of it and Geoff has been amazing! Taking care of me and pampering me with the things i need. What an amazing man he is. Also mom and dad have kinda been spoiling me too! Mom cooking dinner and dad making a cradle for the baby. I am so blessed to have such an amazing support group all around me!

Baby News!

Okay so I have not blogged in a while because I couldn't let the secret out that we are going to have a baby in Feb of 2010! How excited we are. Last Friday on Pioneer Day I had an appointment and my wonderful mother went with me! The doctor surprised me and the only thing we did was a ultra sound! Fun! Mom got to come in the room and see the baby on the screen. We got some really good pics from the sonogram. I was so happy my mom was with me. This time being pregnant has been so different. I feel really tired and things are changing. Last time i just felt a sick like i had the flu. Maybe because of the RH factor thing. BUT thank goodness the Lord has blessed us with another opportunity and allowing us to be parents to one of his sweet spirits! I am getting nervous but super excited.
Now I hope to blog more because i don't have to keep anything a secret! We found out on June 2, 2009 that we were expecting. Then I did the figures and found out that the baby would be arriving near mom's birthday. So from the beginning i was excited. June 2 is dad's birthday and that made me feel good because that day was already special.
So more updates will come soon just taking things one day at a time!

Say it isnt so!

So last night Geoff and I, mostly me, got settled in for an announcement from Jon and Kate. I have become totally addicted to this show and I find myself thinking about them through out the day. I have watched the Marathons and counted down till the first episode of this season. My heart goes out to them because just seeing it in the magazines and hearing on the news stations, Jon and Kate splitting up. I hate that! Marriage and children are hard enough with out the cameras I cant and don't want to imagine life with cameras and all the people wanting to get pictures of you and your family! I love the show but I just wish they would have stopped the show and just done update shows or something so they could get counseling for themselves and the children!
I wish it wasn't so but they filed yesterday for separation!
I guess all I can do is hope for the best for them all!

To Our Moms

Well today was Mothers Day and it was a good day. We were able to enjoy a great breakfast with Mom Em at Cracker Barrel. I enjoyed french toast along with Mom Em. Geoff had oatmeal and a blueberry muffin and Dad Joe had the sampler I think, he got biscuits and gravy with grits and bacon i think. Anyway he said that they cooked him Yankee grits. They were runny, but I don't like grits very much anyway. We loved being able to do this with Mom Em. She is a wonderful woman and great mother. She did a great job raising Geoff to be a very loving and caring man. Thank you Mom Em for blessing me with a fantastic husband. You are a great mom and we are so blessed to have you in our lives.
We were a little late for church BUT we made it! I was able to put my Mom's flowers on for her after sacrament and they looked so pretty on her. We spent the afternoon with my mom and dad made ribs and Geoff did the potatoes. Mom loves ribs and baked potatoes so that is what she got. She was able to rest all afternoon and take it easy. Sad thing is she was feeling crappy because of a cold. But I she enjoyed the food and not having to prepare it and clean it up!
I wanted to tell my mom how thankful I am for her! Since I have moved out of the house and been married I have realized how much work it is to keep up a house and work. I am so thankful to my mom for her example. She is so awesome and I am so thankful that I have the greatest relationship with her. I enjoy all the time we spend together and all the things we get to do. I tell everyone all the time that I am still attached and I will not be able to move anywhere unless she is willing to go with me! I love you mom so much and I am so glad that our Father in Heaven sent me to you! I have the BEST mom ever! Happy Mothers Day Mom.
Now to my wonderful Grandmothers. How thankful I am that they raised their children in the church. What a great legacy we can carry on thru the years and for eternities if we are faithful. I am so thankful for my Grandmothers and their great examples. Grandma Lois for all the yummy Chocolate Pies and for the time she loves to ride and look at the beach when she comes to visit! Grandma Carol for all the times she has taught me her ways of cleaning and just getting the job done. For being so strong and hanging for all her family! What wonderful Women I have been blessed with as examples.
To my wonderful girl friends. How I would be lost without them and all the things they teach me. They are great moms to their children and I am so blessed to have them in nursery! Thank you for always being there to talk Tiff and for the times you listen when I ramble on about nothing. I am truly blessed for all the wonderful examples I have from Mothers in my life. One day I will be able to try to be an example to my baby and teach them to be grateful for all the Wonderful examples around them. May we fill our lives with Great examples of Mothers and learn from them!
Happy Mothers Day!

A day with Ginnie and and Auction at church...

So today was really awesome. I was able to spend time with a favorite little girl of mine, my little Ginnie! It was awesome. We were able to play some indoor basketball with Geoff's blow up goal in the am. Then my wonderful sister Jessica watched her while i went to the salon and did an client. I got home and made mac and cheese for Ginnie. We then did lots of errands together all afternoon. The last thing we did we ended up at the church for an auction for the youth group! It was totally fun. It was the 2ND annual auction and Brad was the guy with the microphone! There were lots of jokes and funny stories from Brad. I loved it but was also sad that I was out bid on a very yummy cake made by Nicole! She makes the best chocolate chip cookie cake with the best icing! I was upset but managed to get a taste from the buyer! Great Job Nicole and the cake! Dad did the BBQ for the dinner and mom and Pam did the corn, beans and rolls. They did a great job and everyone that helped set up and clean up were super awesome too.
This weekend is mothers day so Geoff and I have to do the shopping tomorrow. I really want to also get the house cleaned. It is the past the spring cleaning time so ours will be Summer Cleaning in our house! I will do a post tomorrow dedicated to our moms! Had a great Friday and hope to have many more!

Easter Past & Softball Games

So I have once again taken forever to blog. Not to much has been going on, just softball games, work, eat, sleep and working out quit a bit! It feels good to be working out and spending time outdoors. The most exciting thing that has happened recently is Easter. We did our usual tradition, enjoyed a beautiful sunrise service at Surfside Beach with Geoff's mom and dad and their friend Vern and Linda! We enjoyed and remembered the meaning of Easter and the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What wonderful sermon reminding us of Mary Magdalen seeing Christ after the Resurrection. How thankful I am for the Gospel in my life and for the joy and happiness I receive in this life as a daughter of my Heavenly Father. I really enjoy every Sunday Easter Morning we have to spend together with our families. We took our traditional pic with the Easter Morning crew! Thank you Mom Em and Dad Joe for allowing us to share that special morning with you! We love you and are so thankful for everything you do for us!
I hope to be blogging more and keeping my online journal better. I will try to get pics of the softball game, its players and fans! We love our LDS softball team and for the time, effort and sacrifices for playing ball and entertaining the wives and other family members who enjoy each game. May we remember Aaron in our prayers for he took a good lickin from a softball in the nose! We love you Aaron and hoping for a speedy recovery! Go Latter Day Saints!

Just Because....

So I have been ignoring the blog because I have gotten addicted to facebook! Ugh. I have got to change my focus and get back to cleaning my house, taking care of the little things and back to my blog!
Well we had another softball game tonight and it was the bad news bears....AGAIN! Man we just can seem to keep it together. We do good at first then it goes down hill from there! I don't know what it is but we have got to get it together!
I really enjoy visiting with the other mom's and tonight Brad brought Andy! He is SOOO cute! I cant wait to have one. Speaking of having one..today would have been my due date if I hadn't miscarried! It was a really good thing I was busy i work this week to keep my mind off the sad memory. One day Geoff and I will be blessed with a very sweet spirit that will fill our heart with joy but I know that Heavenly Father has reasons and a plan for us so everything will be just fine!
I am so thankful for everything we have and for the chance to keep trying! Please pray for us and we will be very happy to announce when the special spirit is coming to us! May we all remember the good things that happen and all the wonderful things we have!

My how time flys....

So March has come and gone and it is already the 8Th day of April! Ugh, where is the time going. Not much has been going on in our household. The exciting new thing is Geoff is playing church softball. We really enjoy this time of year because of it. Not just because Geoff is playing ball but it gives us a change to fellowship and visit with our church family. I get to keep the score while trying to socialize at the same time. I really enjoy seeing out my girlfriends when they come with their amazing kids. I love seeing them because it is so sweet when they run up to me and say "Mindee" and they give me a big hug! I just love it. After the enjoyment of seeing everyone the games gets started and I get STRESSED. Why you ask... I am a worrier and at times I can be very slow when it comes to keeping the score book. If something crazy happens or it looks like someone just got hurt I freak out then ask what just happened, who scored, why did they do that and is it really worth it to make a crazy play and take a chance on getting hurt???? I don't think so but who can tell these grown men that! I guess that is why they have us so we can take care of them when they make the crazy plays and then whine about being sore or pulling muscles. I feel really bad though when they are just running and something happens. So if they would just remember to stretch and stay warm when it is cold. Hopefully we wont have the cold to much longer! I am ready for the warm air but not the BUGS!
I promise to post some pics of the games soon! So in closing...Go Saints! You have the best cheering section at the games! We love you guys!

Weekend In Athens, GA

So last weekend we enjoyed a weekend in our favorite town...Athens, GA. We love the atomosphere and our University we didnt attend! I wish I could have but I surely didnt have the grades and Geoff I just dont know why he didnt go, well wait yes I do, apparently it was my fault since we were dating when it was college time! Oh well, now we get to go visit together and enjoy each others company!

Ok say the reason we went was for baseball games. Our Baseball Bulldogs played Mississippi St that weekend in a three game series. We saw the games friday and saturday and while in attendance they won both games! Go dawgs. We missed the game sunday but we were able to get it online when we got home. When Geoff looked it up we, the bulldogs, were loosing! But to our excitement they came back in the eighth inning and won the game 10 to 5, I think! I had a blast at the games, OH also while at the game friday Guess who was there also, MATT STAFFORD!! I heard someone say they saw him standing in the ticket line with his friend and then I spotted him! When I heard that he was there I totaly lost attention on the game and was looking for Matt. I found him and pointed him out to Geoff and I kept watching him to see if he left or moved to another seat or WHATEVER! So he got up to go talk to someone and I saw him sign something for a little boy so I wanted my picture with him so I got out my camera and went to go after him....well he ended up going to sit with some girls so I totally didnt want to be the girl to ask for a picture and look totally desperate, so I turned around and went and sat back down! Well the people sitting beside us said, "why dont you just go to picture day?!" I had never thought of that. They said you can get pictures and get the players to sign things that day! I really want to go to that now for sure! So no picture with Matt, BUT We did get our picture with Brandon Boykin who is going to take Asher Allens spot on the team! YEAH!! So that was neat, the way we got that picture was because the same people sitting beside us KNEW him! YEAH, they did so they called him over and asked if he would take a picture with us! I was so excited!

Saturday's game we saw Rennie Currin sitting in the stands, we sat by the same family from Friday and their son pointed him out to us! He is also always watching to see if players come to the game! So that was exciting along with the fact that we won the games we attended and the Series!

Saturday evening Amanda and Paul came to see us from Atlanta and I cut her hair before we went to eat at the Mellow Mushroom. It was really good so geoff and I want to try the one here at the beach! We had fun catching up with them and getting to take a picture all together to remember out night in Athens together! I still dont think I can convence Amanda to become a Georgia Fan! Too bad she will never bleed RED AND BLACK!! I know geoff and I do and I love it!

Other than that not to much going on! I have missed being at church. We have missed two sundays in a row, 1st GEoff was sick and then we were out of town so I am excited to see my nursery class and get them back on schedule! Tomorrow we will go over the letter "C" with them. We have done "A" and "B" so we are moving on! Hope I can help them some how!

And my big change is amazing I love it and it makes me feel so fun! There is a picture but not one with the finished look! It will be posted later when I have not been in the rainy weather! Boo rain! So for now that is it.

Family From a Distance & Sickness gets Geoff

Well it has been awhile since my last post. I guess there has not been much going on. We have been busy with our church calling in the nursery and work. On the other hand we, meaning everyone but Jessica and Geoff, got to visit with some distant family from Texas!
Delray, Janet and their son Taylor came to visit for few days. They got here on Tuesday and left today. They came to visit because their son Taylor is in the service and had a break before he left for Iraq. He was supposed to leave on Sunday I think but he got an email while we were out on our way to Broadway when it said he needed to be ready on Friday March 13Th to leave on the plane at 6pm. It kinda bummed us out but we made the best of it. I was able to enjoy lunch with them at River City in Surfside and then we joined mom to go to Broadway. We went to the aquarium and walked around Broadway for a bit. Met up with Dad, Blake and Emilee to catch a movie. Taylor wanted to see Mall Cop which ended up to be pretty funny! Glad you chose that Taylor. We then enjoyed a dinner together at Logan's! It was yummy! We then said our good bye's for the night. While I was doing all that my poor husband was home sick. When he is sick he likes to be left alone. I can be overbearing when he is sick, I ask him if he needs anything to much and it can be annoying I guess. But it is all out of love that is for sure. I totally wish Geoff could have enjoyed the Bassetts company but hopefully they will be back. Geoff is still feeling poopy but he is getting better. He said he wants to get out of the house tomorrow for sure. We will see how the weather is and go from there!
I just want to say thank you to Taylor for having a desire to serve for our country. May God bless all those who are serving at this time not only in the service but our Missionaries too. Be strong, courageous and always remember we love you! Good luck and May God bless you in all you do for us and our country!
Thank you to Del and Janet for coming to see us. I had a blast hanging out with you guys. I guess we will see Taylor in November for a week when he gets a break!
We had a blast with the Bassetts that is for sure!
Pictures will be posted later! Janet has them on her camera!
